FSC2346 Leading Digital Learning in Your School: A Practical Guide to the Digital Learning Planning Cycle
Course Description
This course aims to equip teachers to become leaders of digital learning in their schools.
Participants will be guided through the steps of the ‘Digital Learning Planning Cycle’. They will be provided with practical advice and useful resources on topics including planning for digital learning, providing PD in digital learning, and purchasing and maintaining technology infrastructure.
Upon completing this course, participants will be able to take a role in leading digital learning in their school. The course will outline how to set a school up to use technology effectively to improve teaching and learning. It will equip participants with the knowledge, skills and resources they can use to guide their school through this process.
The publication of the ‘Digital Learning Planning Guidelines’ in 2018 introduced a new process for whole-school planning around digital learning which enables schools to tie digital learning into their SSE (school self-evaluation) cycles. This course will take participants through the new digital learning planning process, breaking down each step of the cycle into practical tasks and providing a range of strategies and resources which schools can use.
However, there is no one-size-fits-all approach. Therefore, learners will be required to think about how these resources and strategies can be best applied to their own school setting. It is hoped that those who complete this course will have a variety of resources as well as a concrete set of strategies which will allow them to lead digital learning in their own school setting.
